The CEN and CENELEC "Webinars for standard drafters" are of interest of all persons drafting CEN and/or CENELEC standards. They aim primarily Technical Body Secretaries and TC Working Group convenors. Through these webinars we will achieve a common understanding of the drafting rules and the related procedures. This is also an ideal opportunity for the CEN and CENELEC editors to better understand the expectations of the Technical Body Officers and strengthen the working relationships with the different Technical Bodies.
As the OSD -Online Standards Development platform- is becoming the default for CEN projects in scope activated after 1 July 2026, in this transition year the webinars cover both drafting in OSD and in Word (for CEN projects not in scope and CENELEC projects).
After a quick recap of the fundamentals, the 5 May webinar moves on to what really matters for CEN and CENELEC Standard Drafters: the Enquiry and Formal Vote stages. Our editors will guide you through the full process, from timelines and drafting tips to editorial expectations, the editing workflow, and more.
