This webinar reports about a project on anthropometric and strength data of children.
In addition, it will:
- explain the importance of anthropometric/strength both in developing standards for children’s products and for consumer products children come in contact or interact with, as well as in designing such products;
- present which data are available and which needs have been identified in a first project phase funded by the European Commission – a Technical Report with the results of this project phase will be published in autumn 2021;
- describe the status of the ongoing second project phase which consists of anthropometric and strength surveys and will result in a CEN technical report with statistical information of anthropometric/strength data of children in Europe;
- give guidance on how to correctly apply such data – an additional CEN Technical Report including guidelines will also be published as a result of the project.
