Webinar on 'Harmonized Standards under the Low Voltage Directive'

This webinar will provide participants with the latest developments regarding the preparation of harmonized standards (hENs) to be cited in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) in the frame of the Low Voltage Directive. It will include updates on:

  • The HAS assessment system;
  • The process for successful harmonization;
  • Revision of the LVD;
  • Key elements to be considered when drafting harmonized standards for LVD (e.g. Normative references, Annexes ZA/ZZA, checklist for hENs, etc), including highlights on non-compliance with EU legislation;
  • Safety related risk assessment and risk reduction;
  • Use conditions in standards;
  • Who can you address if need for support.

The focus of the webinar will be on providing guidance and solutions to Technical Bodies in the preparation of harmonized standards in support of the LVD.

Target audience: CEN and CENELEC Technical Body Officers, experts involved in the development of harmonized standards for the Low Voltage Directive (LVD).
